Apologies for the late reply- Christmas is always a hectic time ^_^;. Thanks for asking my opinion- lets hope I can be of some help.
Firstly I'd like to say that I like this pic, However if I had to be critical I'd say the biggest two problems are; that it is that there isn't enough colour variation to make the image stand out; and that the colouring is to dark and washed out (it has just occurred to me that this actually three problems... ^_^).
Now I don't like to offer criticism without also offering some help, so here goes. If you where to re-paint this image the first thing to do would be to set up a palate for all the various elements, such as skin, eyes, hair clothes, details etc. Often a good way to start is to have a background colour in mind, then use a colour wheel to workout a complementary colour scheme. This would be a good way to avoid the problem you have here were the skin tone too closes matches the background and the definition of the character is lost. The next step would be to define your shading groups for each element of your palate. I'd be careful about using tones that are too dark as well, as again, you'll run into problems were the image will blend too heavily and youll lose definition. An example in your image here would be the suit, which is too dark and bleeds too heavily into the rest of the image.
I'd also recommend you check out StudioQube's [link] tutorial which can be found here [link]
I think he is an excellent character artist and he uses colour very effectively to really make his characters stand out.
Apologies for rambling on so, just wanted to be of some assistance. I hope that what I've said in some way helps, and good luck with your future projects, having checked out your gallery you certainly have a lot of potential ^_^
Well thanks, That's the longest comment I've ever gotten ^^
And well next time I'll try and think about all this, ofcourse I didn't really try my best in this pic seeing it's just an hour of coloring and I just did it 'cause I was bored, but yeah I'll ask you how you feel next time too

`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
